Cubase 13_move container to cursor Issue

Hi,

When I was on Cubase 10, when I selected a container (whatever it was) and clicked cmd+L it moved the start of the container to the playhead.

But on Cubase 13 it is the container’s sync point (or snap point) that is moved to the cursor and I don’t know how to prevent this from happening; I would like cmd+L to move the start of the container to the cursor, regardless of the sync points.

Do I need to adjust something in Cubase?

Thank you for your help

Ballagnat,
I've just tried it out and working as intended here.

Is Command-L is set to "Move Event Starts to Cursor" in the key commands?

By “container” I think you mean Part which is Cubase’s terminology. Parts sit on tracks and contain events (like audio clips and MIDI notes etc). But, perhaps confusingly, these audio events can also sit on a track in the Project Window without being inside a container or Part. It looks to me like that’s what you have there. Consequently the command to move the event to the Project Cursor uses its Snap position, rather than its actual start. So you’ve got a couple of options if you want the start of the audio event to move to the Project Cursor:

1. You can put it inside a Part (select the audio event, click the Audio menu, then Events to Part) and the command will do as you want. [To edit the audio event you can edit the Part itself which will in turn also edit the events inside the Part (Parts can contain multiple audio events), or you can double-click on the Part to edit the audio event.]

2. Or you can edit the snap position so it’s the same as the Start position.

(the snap (grid and co) is inactive, and if I activate it the result is always the same regardless of the option chosen)

thanks but way to complicated. I just wanna place the event (whazt ever you call it) on the cursor. It worked before, now it doesn't and that sucks
