Why is the Budapest Scoring Orchestra affordable?

Rates are low/competitive 'cause the wages are low. Also they're playing the quantity game. They can offer a pretty good product for fairly cheap by doing alot of work vs a few sessions every now and then.

Also, the shared sessions are publicity as well. Rather than risking having 3 hr session, you can grab a single hour and see how it is. Seems pretty smart to me.

I'm curious about this and specifically if it's a USA wages vs eastern Europe wages or another thing. Because for example I see the fox stages empty like 90% of the time. And the rates are astronomical. The players of course are AAA and union. But many of these stages are empty. Maybe that's why session players have to charge a lot more? or unions see to charge a lot more.

But how about that new cinesamples scoring stage (Hollywood scoring stage). I see that one more like the Budapest scoring stage. Targeting tv shows and mid size films. Trying to always have it filled out. Players are good and I think non union?

Anyone know the rates differences?
