Hello to everybody. As I wrote in the thread about asking about suitable midi strings for the background of my songs in the style of folk to modern country music. I play guitars, banjo, bass, harmonica, but I'm not a pianist. I currently have the IK MULTIMEDIA iRig Keys 37 PRO Midi keys and I would like something better for controlling Midi instruments. I use Cubase 13 Pro and Kontakt 7 full version. How many keys are suitable for comfortable control of 49 or 61 instruments? I would like to invest around 500 Euros. Thank you so much for your tips.

For your price range, I think this one is a no-brainer. I owned an Arturia amongst others and it had the best build quality. I only sold all my keys to get the SL88 Grand:

I second arturia KeyLab mkii. I just bought a mkii 49, which is great on the desk - takes up less room than 61 keys, still has plenty of room for two handed playing (simple chords/melody), and the mod wheel is just to the left of the keybaord, whereas on the 61 its above the keyboard, which is weird and not so comfortable when using on desktop. Great action, built like a tank. Software for mapping buttons and keys etc is fantastic. Has tons of pedal and cv ins and outs for future expansion. really happy with the mkii 49.

Hello colleagues. I've been looking at the Arturia MkII and it seems like good value for money. I can buy it in our store for 473 Dollars. I've read that Arturia MKIII is supposed to come out this year..but that's just guesswork.
It would be ideal for me to buy an Arturia MKII-III 49 and an SL88 Studio for recording piano parts by a fellow pianist. It's about the size of the budget. Maybe the Arturia 61 keys will be a good compromise.
Thank you very much for your opinions and tips.
