Recommendation for a reverb for Mac/Logic

Looking for the right reverb

Hello,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a reverb for Mac, more specifically Logic. I have Space Designer but it and other convolution reverbs seem to be weak on first reflections and stronger on the tail.
I'm kinda spoiled having used a lot of quality hardware reverbs, but now since I've joined the 'software only' crowd I haven't yet found the density I'm used to.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards,

Jack

PS, I might be on the wrong forum index for this, but I'm also looking for a good AU tube emulation software.

I know what you mean about Space Designer. Its a nice starter into convolution technology, but I've found Altiverb to be incredible for the Mac, specifically Mac G5. Lush, as dense and as wet as you want it depending on which impulse response you choose.

More Reverb Questions

Hello,

I'm trying to avoid any more convolution reverbs. Having one of these is probably going to be enough for me. At this point I'm not convinced that this classification can have the density I like to hear. I admit that I haven't personally heard Altiverb or IR-1 yet so I'll leave some open mindedness about them.

Does anyone out there have any familiarity with both the UAD-1 Dreamverb and the TC Powercore Megareverb? I would also help if you could compare them with Altiverb and IR-1 convolution types.

I would like to use these with Logic on OSX.

Thanks in advance for your information.

Best regards,

Jack

I've heard really great things about the UAD-1 Dreamverb option - even the standard verb by Kind of Loud packaged with UAD is pretty lush in a lexicon sort of way.
