GS3WARNING!!

Hey guys-I had a MASSIVE breakdown last night while I was in the studio. Check it out-while runningGS3 I (like an idiot) was tweaking with the buffer in order to bounce an audio in PT with as little crackle as possible. Somehow it completely reset my GSP that took days to create-(Instruments-GigapulseFX-Levels-basically every single tweak.) So upon reload, while thinking everything will be just fine, it actually managed to save the performance in the completely reset form!! Later I found in the known issues page of the manual that tweaking the buffer while running GS3 is (not recommended :x .) About 3 hours later-everything was ok after rebuilding the entire performance by luckily remembering some of the instruments and gigapulse settings..SO-If you're gonna tweak buffer settings, MAKE SURE GS3 IS NOT RUNNING! Just trying to save some headaches-or raging fits...! (Plus-I created a backup file folder for all custom performances/instruments..)

Thanks for the heads up - you may have saved someone the anguish of having to go through that - yeah that kind of bites but I suppose its a learning experience, although sorry it happened to you.

Thanks CJ-Yeah hopefully others will post any sort of errors or warnings too! That way we can cut down on some of the headaches! :P

No prob. I'm not sure if it was resolved on 3.01 or 3.02 but I would make backups just in case. Actually it's a good idea to save extra backups on another drive-(Completely outside of Gigastudio)..

Here's another somethin I experienced the other day-When I updated to 3.02 I got a kernel/audio driver error while trying to open GS3. Well, after rebooting and trying everything I thought would work-I reinstalled the update-and that worked..Why I'm not sure-but apparently it recognized the kernel and the drivers upon reinstallation. --just a note in case anybody runs into that.. :)
