Seems like it’s just using an expander or transient shaper, saturation and EQ. Certainly sounds good, but not the transformative experience the marketing copy claims.
 
I saw it and yeah, kind of snake oil and kind of helps a bit. But then I met MCabinet which has the "Resonator" and the "Expander" modules that can provide way more bs harmonics and all that crap no regular listener notices anyway. $45 m(on sale) at loot audio and is way more than a complementary plugin for the similar price. And I hate to assume I'm really liking it, although I think the GGD Goldstack will be an alternative too in the 4x12 Plexi realm. MCabinet sounds way more open and it's way more a pain in the ass to with all those details. But damn you can shape TF out of it.


I'm almost there momma, just need to install Fractal Audio's CaBlab, which is more oriented for their proprietary IR's of course...

Off Topic (can I do that as the OP?)

Anyone know of any guitar pedal or plugin that can make an acoustic with piezo pickup plugged into an audio interface sound as if/close to being mic'd up?

One of the amp profiles in Neural‘s Petrucci Archetype is designed for use with piezo pickups and may achieve what you’re after. I have this plugin, but don’t have a guitar with a piezo pickup to try it out. They do offer free demos.

Also have a look at using an acoustic guitar impulse response. 3 Sigma Audio (no affiliation - just a happy customer) do a load and there's a whole bunch of free ones around as well. You'd load them into a software IR loader like Lancaster Pulse or STL NadIR. I use a hardware pedal version so I can use them live and tame the piezo quack. I've also just bought a Behringer ADI21 to try out which with the blend on max also does a good job of improving the piezo tone in my limited testing so far.
