im testing this plugin atm and i have mixed feelings still.

1st im pretty happy with my mastering chain and like to have controls of each element but sometimes it is nice to have such a plugin to check if you want to fine tune something you were not aware before.

1. how are your experiences with this compared to other MASTER Plugins?

2. when i add this plugin into the chain it already changes the signal somehow even when i got everything at default/0/disabled. this shouldnt happen?

thanks

Maybe not much experience with this plugin here. I think I asked earlier also, but got no replies.

It's good - would be bad if there was a lot hype, from money perspective. Im glad to save that money. Looks like the company aint into guerrilla marketing either (another +)

Mixbus TV has a vid on it on YouTube. I had headphones on watching it, and most buttons on the plugin were so sublime, the headphones didn't catch any difference (or possibly my ears, but hope that's not the case).

I tried the demo today.

On rock style music with vocals. There's no major effect EXCEPT when the vocals have a lot of dynamics going on, like shouting or loud words, it evens them, smooths them in. Its very subtle but it is. If you make blend music you don't need this plugin, if you have plenty dynamics and peaks, you might want to try the demo. Still....for an effect this subtle, will probably not buy it. Unless I stumble on a pile of cash.

thanks! i passed on it... i didnt like that when you enable it and dont engage anything that it alters already the sound. something i didnt like and didnt want to have. and maybe im pretty fine with my mastering but i didnt hear much difference when i added the effects of it and A/B tested it with adjusting the loudness. maybe God Particle is interesting, didnt test this one.

Yea, this is not an easy one to know what to do. Now, testing more, Ive realised I kinda like its widening effect too. Im not sure what the hell it does, but it seems (?) to have some trick up the sleeve? But again, I like it only on dynamic rock style music - not on piano etc. It squashes and widens the track, but doesn't make it to total over-saturated pancake like the online mastering tools do. (ok plugin but maybe not worth the hefty price)

I have been using it on a few demos recently and its straightforward approach is nice and the resulting sound is very transparent it seems.
I have been a long time Ozone user (from version 1) so Master Plan was refreshing in the sense that you are not overloaded with too much going on visually, it causes you to rely a little more on your ears.
The monitoring profiles (NS10, etc) are helpful as well.
I also have been using the Hornet Master Tool which is also very useful, but I am really enjoying using Master Plan.

Might buy it simply for the widening feature, this widening does a pretty ok "3d sound". Something they've done right here. But only a pinch of it. Maybe they've widened some saturation effect but kept main sound intact or whatever they did, it's not as sloppy as some others out there. Definitely some 'trick'.
