CinePiano dropping notes

I have a bizarre problem with CinePiano and Logic 10.8. It periodically doesn't play the notes on the downbeat. Piano midi is pretty simple: velocity and sustain. If I substitute a different VST, it performs fine. I am sort of left just scratching my head. Does anyone ever have this issue?

Updating this for anyone encountering this problem. The sustain setting in CinePiano is really finicky. All my other piano vsts had no problem with my pedal markings, but CinePiano would choke if the sustain ups and downs weren't drawn in exactly the right place. So if you encounter this problem, adjust the timing of your up and down pedaling.
