Recently bought the Dorian Marko Piano software from Auddict, but I cannot even access the files. I install the .zip files onto an SSD, and when I go into the Dorian Marko Piano player and select the destination of these files, nothing happens. I left the files zipped, and have tried to download them and unzip them with "The Unarachiver", but either way the files are not being read/accessed. Not sure what to do at this point, I've been at this for several days now; have not heard back from Auddict's tech support.

And you never will.

A sampled piano with a lot of potential, but with some playability & scripting issues which I detailed to the developer and demonstrated with audio examples. Never heard back, so unfortunately it seems to have been abandoned by the developer.

I don't know what's wrong with authors like that, they make a product, sell it high and get away with it. I see that the price has been reduced to around 90 euros, the only thing I don't know is whether that means "it's what you got", worked or not. It would be fair then to give it away for free.

I really enjoyed the way it was "supposed" to sound, but that's as good as it's gonna get I guess. I'm still struggling to find a realistic sounding Steinway library. I've tried Ivory, East West, VSL, Pianoteq...I can tell I'm listening to a sample, and not an acoustic Steinway. Have you found any decent libraries, or recording tips with those libraries? I'd do anything just to have the quality Steinway sound you hear on an album of Beethoven Sonatas...if that doesn't sound too crazy.

There's a thread that Auddict posted on this forum recently, asking for ideas for their new library. You might try a private message to the originator of that thread and ask for help. The solution may be very simple.
