Presonus Studio One + Mac Studio M2 Ultra + Kontakt - Can it beat Cubase? (Over 1000 Kontakt Tracks!)

So I recently purchased the Apple Mac Studio M2 Ultra and decided to test it in depth.... I ended up screen-capturing and narrating a test with Cubase to see how many instances of Kontakt on separate tracks would the system be able to handle and play at the same time.

I had several requests to reproduce the exact same test on Presonus Studio One, and here are the results:

Might be of interest to anybody who is considering purchasing the Mac Studio M2 Ultra. In my tests, there are some stark differences in how it performed when comparing to Cubase. You can see the original Cubase thread and video here:

Looking forward to the Logic test... It would also be interesting to see how running Logic both natively, and in Rosetta actually affect performance... Either way it's cool you've taken the time to do this!

Logic Pro test is done and in the can! Just need to edit the video over the next few days! It ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated and Im just trying to figure out if I should shorten it through edits or just let the whole thing playout.

So, I see a lot of people are still using Rosetta mode. Is that mostly because of VE-pro? What are the main VST/AU holdouts that are not m1 native?

I haven't used VEP in quite some time now... For me, I still find Logic less prone to crashing with Rosetta enabled. I'm pretty sure everything I use is native at this point so I have no idea why...
