Watching a composer write in real time while explaining why they're making the choices they've made is not just instructional but inspiring.

I personally also enjoyed the track itself, which made it easier to listen through. I have no musical education, so it's more about sound and melody for me rather than architecture or more advanced notions. I thought the music that came out in this session was very good and the flow was simple. I bookmarked the video. Will get back to it as some point.

From my perspective, the idea of going with structure first was pure gold. Pre-defining it makes much more sense when in a hurry, and something that has never occurred to me earlier for some reason.

All in all, the whole idea of sort of top down composing sounds like a very neat trick and I'm going to give this a try today with a cue I haven't been happy with. All in all the video information was very valuable for both beginners and professionals, so I'm really glad for watching it!
