Or is this a great deal? I got excited because I've been hopping on there every day checking. haha

Anne-Kathrin Dern did a nice review of this on her YouTube channel. My impression was overall she thought it was a decent library if you go into it knowing what you're getting (a mix of old and new samples). But there is a ton there, especially for $179.

She definitely did a great video on it! I've watched many!

Beginning my research on this product. Are the loops midi performance loops that can be edited, or audio only loops or a combination? If audio only, are separate stems provided for each instrument / part or is the loop a full ensemble on a single audio file? Really surprised they dont specify this on the product page (or maybe I missed it?)

edit: reading the manual it looks like they are audio only and instrument based.

Also does the UVI workstation have sample purge like Kontakt, where you can purge all the samples, play through your midi and it will only load the samples that are being used? Unsure how RAM intensive these instruments are, but in general when different performances are being triggered by key switches its rare that every articulation is used and would be great to purge unused samples out of RAM.

This is definitely a good deal. I believe there has been 50% off once in the last two years. So 40% off is quite good enough.

It's not my time, though! I'll have to wait a bit longer.

Wondering can we have multiple install paths for UVI Workstation libraries?
I think you can for different computers but not for the same one. I don't know how easily you can relocate UVI libraries without re-downloading. For third-party Workstation libraries it is easy, you just navigate to the file location within the Workstation.

I’ll definitely be making it happen then, later tonight and will report back!

Maybe something crazy will happen before the 17th where you can! Fingers crossed! :)

Well looks like I’ll be moving some libraries around tonight! Haha Thanks for the info!

You only load the individual instruments, so even without purge you won't have to load a lot of samples that you don't want.

In Falcon, you can delete any keygroups that you aren't using. But I don't think Workstation has that feature.

The longer wait will do me good. In some obscure character-cum-moral-fibre related way!

It's my own fault for not becoming rich. I'm the fool with degrees in philosophy. I could have studied law. Or media composition.

Orrrrrrr it builds up the excitement to where it can’t possibly live up to the pain and agony of waiting! 😇

Ha! But look at all the fun you have here getting to use all of that knowledge! 😋

I seem to remember you can. But moving UVI libraries around is quite easy as well. They are just single files (with an .ufs extension I believe).

I wouldn't put my money on media composition.

You can indeed. Go into the preferences where there is a tab that contains the search paths for the UFS folders. There are two little checkboxes by each one that determine whether UVIS/Falcon will display them in the library view or just point to the folders that contain them (I split mine - I don’t have the Vintage Vault libraries in the main view, for example).
