Hi everyone,
After years of lurking and a few posts, allow me to properly introduce myself.
I’m William, and I currently spend my days freelancing from my home studio in Amsterdam. I started making beats in the late 90’s, rapped for about a decade before deciding to focus more on engineering. I went to SAE and started interning and later freelancing in recording studios.
Over the last 20 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with all manner of creative people, from musicians, vocalists, producers to directors and actors. My main focus shifted from recording and mixing music to sound for picture, primarily recording dialogue for movies and series.
These days I work on dubbing scripts a lot but creating music is a constant factor as a hobby and occasional gig. I try to regularly upload new music to my YouTube channel.
I’ve been getting into composing for picture more and more. I’m going to be entering into composition competitions for practice, and pivoting from hip hop beats to cinematic music. The end goal is to either write library music or score for picture. It’s so exciting to learn new techniques, to dig deeper into music theory and continuously upgrading the content, workflow and sound of my template.
So that brings me here! I’m here to get inspired, be motivated, receive both cutting edge techniques and old wisdom, share what I know and hopefully meet some likeminded people. Thanks for reading and see you out there!
