Hey folks,
I just wanted to share our review of Spitfire Audio's latest addition to the Abbey Road Orchestra range: Abbey Road Orchestra: Cellos. We had a chance to check out the Professional edition of the sample library and shared our thoughts about its sound, features, and functions in a...
Hey fellow musicians,
this my latest (and probably the last) attempt of the Imperial March from Star Wars Episode 5.
The total project time is 5 hours and 30 minutes, in my estimation, 4 hours of this is actual working time.
I tried to stay as close as possible to the original sound, I am not...
The sale starts in exactly three weeks and will last 8 days. What are your expectations?
Will the 2019 and 2020 Aperture libraries return just as the old Albion libraries returned? Will we have last year's roulette or the beloved tombola? Will there be giving away libraries on Spitfire's...

I'm trying to find more user content from this hidden gem, but it's not been very encouraging so far.
Do you know of any mockups or demos done exclusively with the SSO series that sound _really_ good?
Andy Blaney's demos speak for themselves, but I've already listened to them a LOT.
Now I...

Hi all,
I have BBC PRO and overall I'm pleased with it as a simple 'one stop shop' for orchestral work, however I'm interested in a library/libraries that would compliment it's shortcomings, particularly in the brass, specifically with the horns and trumpets. I'm also interest in libraries that...
The Albion libraries are most certainly Spitfire Audio's flagship range. Each volume has a different characteristic, yet all are incredibly useful composing toolkits to have in your palette. In case you missed them first time round, Spitfire Audio have re-released the retired Albion Legacy...

Hello :)
First post here ! I’ve looked for this precise info but couldn’t quite find it.
I’m the happy owner of Spitfire Audio’s BHCT but would like to complement it with solo sections to have a full orchestra in the exact same room.
I also own Kepler.
I gather that the Studio Orchestra...

I had a thought pop into my head, and also because Spitfire's Symphonic Strings has a patch, has any score used blended sections? What I mean by that is, half of a string section using consordino while the other half doesn't? For Example, for Violins 2 section made of 12 players, only 6 have...
I know Spitfire has a Soundcloud but it's a nightmare to navigate. There are many pieces I've thoroughly enjoyed over the years (particularly by Homay, Oliver and Christian) but it's terribly annoying to have to navigate their Soundcloud and there's no way to search nor create a playlist as far...

While using Dorico 4 in Play Mode today I was surprised to see all my Spitfire Audio house player libraries listed under the category heading "Synth". This is apparently the category they have specified be applied to certain libraries in Dorico but it does seem a little strange putting AROOF...
I recently purchased Afterglow from Spitfire Audio, downloaded it, launched Logic and Kontakt, just to discover it doesn't work and I can't figure it out. I go thru all the files, but when I click the actual instrument to load it in, it only half works. By that I mean the controls and such load...
I was watching the demo by Andy Blaney for the Total Performance Flute patch, and scrolling through the comments I came across someone raising this exact point, and if you go to the timestamp they provide at 5:00 you can quite clearly see a midi controler on the desk. I initially thought it was...

New member here and this is my first post. It's good to be here!

Hello guys & gals,
Spitfire Chamber Strings are a must have library from everything I read here. However, I wonder between the regular version and the Pro version. I generally don’t mess too much with mixes and I understand the Pro version provide more material, samples captured from different...
I wrote this composition, Seashell, using the Spitfire Audio Originals. Most people might not take them seriously as they're small libraries, but they're actually really good! Honestly, sometimes that's all you need for certain compositions.
Hello Fellows,
This Remake was something else to make.. To be honest, I think I started it in 2019 and abandoned it a first time due to the fact that this track was more complexed than it seemed. I don't know how many times I had to start over and over.... But there was this little voice in...
Hello, I would like to introduce a music - 'Kadan's Theme' - from the MMORPG "Lost Ark". I composed this music with the symphonic series from Spitfire Audio, which I love and have adopted for my musics for years. I had worked as a composer for the Lost Ark team for years and servced as the team...
Hey all! I have a question that I’m hoping you all may be able to help me with. Apologies ahead of time for the text dump.
Of all the VSTs I’ve amassed, the one very crucial one that I’m lacking is a full orchestra VST. I’ve been doing a lot of looking around and the two I’ve found appeal to me...
Hello everyone,
I've recorded some demos for all the patches of the Olafur Arnalds Composer Toolkit to the best of my abilities,

Hi folks,
I was wondering if anybody has had success at achieving convincing long slow descending string glissandos with Spitfire string libraries, similar to what the strings are doing in the track "The Factory" from 06:02 - 06:19 in HZ's "No Time to Die" soundtrack?
A client has requested...

Hello! This is my entry for the Score Relief 2022 contest. "I catch you", directed by Colette Brown and starring Adam Starkey. I have tried to musically externalize the "arrogance" that emanates from the character, from the point where he feels invulnerable, irrefutable, superior in all...

Hey friends! In today's video, we'll take a look at Spitfire Audio's newest string library, this time featuring solo strings recorded at Abbey Road. Enjoy!

I got my first paycheck from my summer job today AND Spitfire has a sale (the stars have aligned for me perhaps?). Well... you know how the story goes.

Join us for the premiere of our latest Spitfire Audio x SA Recordings sample library release: Landfill Totems, created in collaboration with electronic innovator, Hainbach. Hainbach will also be on Live Chat throughout, so come and say hi!
I’ve recently been updating a ton of instruments from Spitfire in my Komplete Kontrol. Some of these are not strictly NKS but do respond to it. Others are not NKS responsive but are NKI files and should be available on the User side of KK and should load and play. Unfortunately, one of these...

While I know most of you like and use SSS a lot, I noticed that no one really talked about recurrent glitches in this library.
In Violins 1 & 2 Performance Legato, there's an irritating audio phase / panning issue when triggering different legato transitions with velocity.
If you play two...
Expires tomorrow - what’s the general consensus on how useful this library is?
Fairly tempted but I’d like to know if this works for more than just background padding for epic movie trailers. What say you, senior members and the like?
Are there more versatile choir libraries or is this *the* one?
Hey ,
I had a look around but because the Thread on both these products is 100 pages long, I did not find an answer -
Basically , I really love these two libraries- I have the Pro of SO and Abbey Road Foundations , but am finding them to be EXTREMELY cpu hungry. (Windows 10) Running off an...
I just really like the visuals of Spitfire Trailers and that one got me in a mood of writing. So I just took it, cut out the talking, left the beautiful pictures of nature in it and composed some music for it (unfortunately not with Albion Neo^^) I hope that is ok with the Spitfire team^^
Here's a demo using only the Eric Whitacre Choir from Spitfire. I scrapped this a couple years ago, then listened again tonight and thought, "I guess it's not that bad." I find the library difficult to use for convincing melodic content, but it's cool as a textural kit.
This is a Logic Pro template for Spitfire Audio's Abbey Road One: Orchestral Foundations sample library. It is similar to the template provided by Spitfire for their BBCSO libraries. It is attached to this post as a .zip file, and is also available on Github. It is distributed under the GPL v3...
Can you please recommend me some videos or courses (free or paid) that explain in detail how to build an orchestral template, routing etc.?
I use Cubase 10.5 and Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra plus some pianos and synths like Omnisphere, Zebra and Diva.
Thanks
Hey all,
A while ago I made this mockup of Hans Zimmer's main title for The Rock. I love that theme and it was fun to re-create it! Here I show how I did it.
I have for a loooong time been thinking about making videos, but I am quite shy to talk on camera! Please let me know if this any good...
I always loved this classic theme and thought it would be fun to re-create it! Here it is:
Libraries used:
- Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra
- East West Hollywood Brass
- East West Hollywood Percussion
- U-He Zebra
- Omnisphere
I also made a walkthrough where I go over each section in detail...
Hey all, hope you're all doing well!
I was curious as to the style of John Powell which I see most prominently in his Ice Age films so I took time to make a mockup of the track "Buck Returns" to really dive deep into his compositional style and how he uses all the sections of the orchestra.

EDIT: after posting, I found out this library will be updated in the coming weeks and I WILL revise this review where necessary after the updates. Contrary to what some people assume, I really do want to love this library/plug-in and am genuinely happy they are releasing these updates!

Do you use any reverb for the Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra (SSW SSB SSS) plus Spitfire Percussion? Or do you just keep the reverb of the hall where it was recorded?
How do you use it?

Hi,
I've posted a bit on here before about BBCSO (Core) and I've now decided why I'm not entirely satisfied with it. It's good for what it is, but it doesn't do EPIC, nor does it do really expressive and emotional; it just sits in the middle and can go louder and quieter, but doesn't do...
Spitfire Audio has released some templates for the BBC Orchestra.
Do you think they can also work for the Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra (+ Spitfire Percussion) ?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Hey Everyone!
First time poster here. I thought I'd finally share something after really enjoying the VI:C community for about a year now. Here's a recent composition I made using the Olafur Arnalds Felt Piano. It's a short little piece i wrote on a whim.

Can you recommend me which Soundtoys plugins go well with Spitfire Audio sounds? (and which sounds; for film scoring purposes).
Thank you!

Hi!
I've had some time on my hands in the past couple of days and worked on this new piece. I really enjoyed using the strings in the other 2 projects and I wanted to see how they hold on their own. Well almost on their own. I used a bit of percussion as well to add some orchestral colour...

Hello all,
As much as I really love the chat and fun on other (much longer!) threads, perhaps it would help if we could have a thread only for people to post demos / mp3 / Soundcloud links and other audio files?
If we could even get to 10 or 20 demos, that woud be really great.
