Hi, I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to automate the mic positions in Cinebrass and Cinewinds to turn them on and off. The faders themselves can be automated of course, but it doesn't appear that the on/ off state of the mics can be automated.
With Spitefire's Kontakt libraries...
Hey Guys,
With this mockup, I want to push my libraries and my ability to use them to their limits, and what better piece to do that with than The Battle of Coruscant!
Feel free to ask me what libraries I used, what techniques and how I organize the whole thing in my DAW (FL Studio but...
Hello everyone. I had a few String/Brass and Percussion libraries from Cinesamples from college days, but recently decided to join the subscription plan. I'm happy to say that I'm VERY pleased with my decision. I've put it to the test for a few weeks now and it runs smoothly.
Here's my first...
Anyone using the “CineSymphony” series as their main orchestra?
I have the core and pro of brass, winds, strings and percussion but find Spitfire just do strings and winds much better.
I have an unused and unregistered licenses of:
- Cinesamples CinePerc
- Cinesamples CineBrass Core
- Cinesamples CineBrass Pro
I bought them but never had the time to install them and I am already covered with other libraries. I will send you my unregistered serial numbers and you will be...

This month (March 2023) CineSamples released their all new CineStrings Core 2.0. This major update to the VST includes revamped sounds and a whole new user interface.
Let's take a look at how you can use TouchOSC to build a template to switch between articulations, program keyswitches, and use...
Headline says it all.
Are there any differences in quality, programming, scripting, etc in these two patches, or is the articulation patch just something that contains both the best legato-option AND the shorts as well? Or is it something special with the designated true legato patch?
Tried...
I recently trialed Musio, because why not tempt ourselves with things we know we can't have haha, and I LOVED the Piano in Blue. However, when I trialed EW CC+ their Steinway was also very nice.
Which do you prefer? And consider they're the same price (on sale), and EW's comes with 4 instead...
So I'm still trying to decide what library to get, and with Black Friday coming up I figured if better hurry.
Heres what I'm looking at:
BBCSO Pro
Definitely a great library, but more oriented towards classical type scores, which is great, but not exactly what I'm going for
East West HOOPE...
Hello there,
I have duplicates of CineBrass PRO and Descant Horn that I'm willing to sell - separately or together. I owned both of these libraries before and now, having completed my bundle, I ended up with spares.
I contacted Cinesamples and they assured me that it's legal, they event sent...

Upon recently visiting Cinesample's website, I've found that there are some really good deals for their summer sale. In particular, their CineBrass and CineStrings bundles really catch my eye, and this is sort of where I'm at:
I know I'm interested in getting one of them, but I'm not sure which...
I decided to give Musio a try. I didn't really plan on starting up another subscription, but I've had a lot of interest in several Cinesample products for different reasons. At the very least I thought it would be a great opportunity to try Cinesamples' entire catalog and see if anything stuck...
Hello Fellows,
This Remake was something else to make.. To be honest, I think I started it in 2019 and abandoned it a first time due to the fact that this track was more complexed than it seemed. I don't know how many times I had to start over and over.... But there was this little voice in...
What's your favourite harp library?
Usually I'm dancing between CineHarps and Berlin Symphonic Harps, but if you held me at gunpoint, I'd blurt out CineHarps.
Why? Allow me to disclose in this video. Enjoy :)

Here is a little Orchestral Cover/Mockup of Obliviate by Alexandre Desplat in the movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I.

I'm about to buy my first external SSD and read mixed reviews on here on how the T7 has problems compare to the T5.
Before I spend money on Amazon should I get the T5 or T7?
I will be using it to load a few libraries from Spitfire, Cinesamples & brass from Orchestral Tools.

Hiya gang. Bless the rains down at Omni Publishing, I was so excited to get my hands on the published score for Powell's sublime HTTYD. Here's my attempt at my favourite cue from the score, "Forbidden Friendship". It's a phenomenal piece of music, and very tricky to get right. Hope you enjoy...
Hello world!
As a proud owner of BBCSO, the Anthology Violins and Cellos as well as EW’s Hollywood orchestra (the new 2021 one), I am looking for that striking and defining string sound. No Hans Zimmer “I will blast 10.000 violins” nor “we recorded 30 players but it sounds like 10” sort of...
I know the question "how important is having libraries from the same room" has been discussed many times before. But in the context of Black Friday shopping, I wanted to ask about a combo I've heard a lot about:
Strings: CSS
Brass: CineBrass
Woodwings: BWW
Percussion: CinePerc

Hi, Im currently focusing on Cinesamples Cinestrings 1.4. library (on sale now), but my friend warned me about problems with surround mic. positions, which I love in general.
for instance:
- Violins I without reverb has no "tails" on low dynamics. Means, samples ends in cut (Violins II are ok)...
Hi VI community!
I haven't seen many posts on this Cinesamples contest in Instagram... let me share my "fantastic" proposal. Your feedback as always is appreviated.
Thanks beforehand for your precious time!!

As composers, we're attracted to sample libraries like flies to a sweaty headband. But why is that the case? Is GAS a real thing? Let's discuss in today's video.

Hey friends! A recent thread about percussion sparked an idea for this video. I wanted to cover CinePerc, one of the most comprehensive orchestral percussion libraries on the market today. Please enjoy!
Hi there!
I want to keep it short: after the upgrade, the library keeps loading all the samples again when I reopen my project even though I updated the sample pool by using the purging function of Kontakt before closing my project. Does anybody know how to fix that? I'm using Fl Studio 20 if...

Hi everyone! With so many piano libraries out there on the market, there are typically one or two that become favourites over time, for every composer. In my case, CinePiano is my clear choice, and in this video I try to explain why. Please enjoy!
Greetings everyone. I'm looking forward to buy the Cinestrings Core library from Cinesamples; Also keen to the sound of LA scoring strings. I do have the Albion range and some libraries from 8dio, but they don't quite cut it. Was looking at this one to use as my main one and underlay the rest...

I'm in fact very happy with my fff MA1 Horns and don't really know of anything better.
Still, does anybody own both and could provide a comparison to the 12 Horns Library from Cinesamples? Do 3 more Horns really add something worth noticing? Do they get as loud as Metropolis Ark? etc.

Hi everyone !
I discovered this freebie recently and was a bit puzzled at first. I guess it is meant to add an element of realism and cohesiveness to a mix made of perfectly processed virtual libraries. I read someone's comment that said it added some kind of subtle "texture" to the sound...
So what's your favorite Trumpet Ensemble / Solo patch / library?
Dynamic range is always appreciated. True legato a must.
I'm mainly looking for a heroic, loud sound that doesn't need too much tweaking.
I've already had Cinesamples Core / Pro in mind but haven't been able to find too many audio...
Hey guys, I don't really have a dedicated choir library, however I do have the choirs in Metropolis Ark 1. I was looking to expand with a dedicated, versatile (can do lower and higher dynamics well), intuitive and easy to use choir library.
I am a bit limited on my choices, as:
- it needs to be...
Hey friends! Today let's discuss a new Cinesamples library called 'Voices of War'. This one focuses on Vikings, war, and even death, so it's perfect for those intense situations where you need a touch of darkness in your score. Enjoy!
Cinesamples CineWinds Core or Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds
What would be your choice, overall and mainly in terms of realism.
Which one blends better in the mix with other libraries?
NI Symphony Series Woodwinds would be a third choice of mine, but I don‘t think it can compete with the other...
Hey composers! In my final video of the year, I wanted to end off with a review of one of my favourite libraries to date, and this is the 90's Retro Trumpets from Cinesamples. It's a beautiful library intended for soaring trumpet melodies. Please enjoy!
I owned Cinesamples Voxos. Now I downloaded the files for the update Voxos2. At the screenshot you see at the left my Voxos1 files, perfectly working. At the right side the downloads of Voxos2 (zip file and rar files) unpacked. I see the sample folder, but no instruments and so on.
Can somebody...

I really appreciate the recent update to Cinebrass Core, and really have tried to support Cinesamples in the past with posts as well as purchasing most of what they have. But for existing customers Cinesamples has some bass-ackwards way of doing things.
For example, Now that Cineharps is $179 I...

Just picked up these two libs from Cinesamples last week. Was inspired to write "to the samples." Though not written for a film, this is sort of my imagination of what film music is (it's also pretty romantic).
Would love feedback 'bout the piece and the mockup.
I used those two libs. I...
Hiya,
As a big fan of Alan Silvestri and Predator, I had a pop at mocking up one of the cues from the score with a bunch of libraries.
Was a really useful learning tool. It contains great orchestration and a heck of a lot of mileage from small ideas thrown around the orchestra.
Harmony is...
A follow on from the thread I posted yesterday in the 'Composition, Orchestration & Technique' forum where I posted a video showing what libraries I used to create this.
Here's the track on Soundcloud. Let me know your thoughts

Still grappling with Black Friday decisions: Cinewinds and Sonokinetic winds are both on sale this weekend. I'm debating whether to pull the trigger on one of them. I like the runs in Sonokinetic. But I would also like to get solo instruments, which it does not have.
I've been using the...

Hello and a happy new year to you all.
I've just joined VI having discovered the forum completely by accident.
And wow, looks like I've missed out on so much useful and constructive content, tips and helpful banter.
Anyway, just wanted to intro myself. I'm actually more of an amateur these...
Anyone using Cinesamples libraries such as:
CineWinds Core
CineStrings Core
CinePerc Core
CineBrass Pro & Core
What other libraries do you tend to blend/layer with them, or what libraries have you found that blend/layer really well with them?
Cinesamples started their BF sale, 40% off- usually their best price. Voxos, which listed for $799 less than a year ago, is now $299- wow. I missed this last year, so hoping others don't. :)
A short little arrangement of that wonderful theme from the Ron Howard films,
as composed by Hans Zimmer.
Decided to take my solo strings libraries for a spin.
Please don't be mad, Hans! :ninja:
This is a short piece featuring Cinestrings Core along with a few other instruments that are part of Hollywood Orchestra Gold.
I don't play piano, so I made a conscious effort to make the instruments feel like they were played (using MIDI CC etc.). Any advice and critique is welcome.
Thanks...
