Looking for recommendations for piano music that is more on the slow and lyrical side. Pieces that either illicit either sadness, a calm feeling of joy, or melancholy, etc...
I'm trying to expand from composers I already have familiarity, so.....
Composers OTHER than:
Brahms
Bach
Mozart
Beethoven
Debussy
Ravel
Tchaikovsky
Satie
Chopin
Mompou
Schubert
Schuman
Scriabin

It can be from any time frame, including present day. I tend to like to listen to this type of solo piano and I would like to expand from the usual suspects of which I already have some familiarity. Thanks!

I gave a concert with Yann Tiersen pieces a couple days ago. Maybe it's a little bit naive but people liked this one very much:

Also, some pieces by Arvo Pärt are very beautiful in their simplicity:

I'm really enjoying the Arvo Pärt. Very minimal, but interesting (and beautiful). That composer was not on my radar. Thanks!

Not sure what you'd make of this, but it's certainly some of my favourite piano music:
