I can still vividly remember hearing Ege Bamyasi the first time in the mid-80s when doing soundcheck for a lunchtime gig.

I saw CAN on stage at the end of 1972, more than two hours of concert, at that time I listened to a lot of German groups.

I still remember vividly when the news of Holger's passing hit me.

R.I.P. Damo ... may your spontaneous vibes echo on forever.

This one really hurts. One of my biggest influences.

My band The Harlequins was going to perform with him in Grand Rapids in April of 2020 during his sound carriers tour. We would have been his backing band improvising jams while he improvised vocals on top.

It was cancelled for obvious reasons, and I hoped one day it might get rescheduled but deep down I kind of knew it never would.

RIP!

I had the pleasure of playing 2 gigs with him 2013/14 fantastic energy and really nice guy!
First time I met him was onstage the day of the gig at the Queen Elizabeth Hall for the soundcheck.
