A question regarding Content ID

DoubleJ

I love grapes
I have recently started to upload music I've created, on to Youtube. I'm only a hobbyist but because it is available to license on Audiojungle, all of my music is registered with a P.R.O and Identifyy. This might be a dumb question but how long does it take for Content ID to flag my music as copyrighted content?

Right now the status I'm seeing is

"Channel

Not affected
No copyrighted content was found in your video."

I assumed that I would rightfully get flagged when I uploaded the music and would somehow have to manually clear my channel.

Does it take some time for the content ID system to detect copyright music or should it get flagged as soon as it get uploaded?

I'm starting to think maybe there's an issue with my Indentifyy account as I know of some videos that have my music that Identifyy never detected. Any help would much appreciated.

Depends on when the song was registered with Content ID by AJ or when Identifyy added your song to their library but I normally see flags within 2-4 weeks after they get ingested into the CID system. Afterwards, I whitelist my YT channels as I am the copyright owner and the flags go away within another few days.

Thank you. The songs were uploaded to identifyy last summer if I remember correctly. It makes sense that it takes a bit of time considering how much content the system has to sift through.

Yea, sometimes it shows later. But it should show in a few days. Sometimes it goes away again, when you do a better mix, and upload second time. Go figure. I sang same track in another language which had lost the content ID on YouTube for 2 years, and now it shows it found copyright again. But sang in another language. I've had so many weird issues, not sure how much I can rely on it. For copyright I wouldn't rely on this, (not being the expert here) but if it's a track 'more important' I throw it via US copyright. This wont show on YouTube, but it definitely has copyright.

Well I live in Canada and have my music registered with our P.R.O SOCAN. Though I'm not really sure what benefit it gives me. Maybe down the road, I'll be glad I did.

If your music is used in a cue, that gets you some royalties and credits on your cue sheet. Not a bad thing to have and some companies may not work with you if you aren't affiliated with a PRO. Depending on which PRO you are registered with, you can gain access to webinars/seminars that provide greater insight to the industry.

To all who are reading this thread and are not registered with content ID yet:

PLEASE DO!

Others will find your music online and if they notice that you've not registered your tracks, they will find a way to download and register it under their name. That has happened to me. With viral Youtube videos, over 1 Million views. Please don't make the same mistake.

Edit: typos

There is a video on YouTube that has one of my songs on it and has over 2 million views but content ID never detected it. I believe they have a sync license but I wonder if I would still be entitled to a payment because my understanding is identifyy monetized the publishing side as well as the sound recording. I'm still not sure how this all works.

Claim it manually via your Identifyy account.

Is there any point in claiming it manually if you suspect they have bought a sync license through audio jungle? Do you only get any kind of monetization if they can not clear the claim?

If the track isn't showing up in the detections list, then it's most probably legitimately bought and licensed. In this case your name should be appearing in the description.
