As part of the launch of our new flagship library, Novella Origin, we are hosting a competition with two different categories. Try your hand at rescoring a video or remixing a track. It’s up to you; try one or be brave and give them both a shot.

RESCORE​

Rescore our 3 minute launch film from the ground up, using any sample libraries and live instruments you want.

REMIX​

Remix one of our demos using the provided stems. Rework and transform them, add completely new sounds or simply record your own lyrics and vocal over the top.

WINNERS​

The winner of each challenge will win all of our sample libraries worth over $1300.

RUNNER-UP​

There will be one runner-up in each category and they will win a copy of Novella Origin.

I like this contest. Now I'm working on scoring the video. This is the first time I score a video with voiceover, so go easy on me. :emoji_slight_smile:
 
This is a great contest, and I glad that you've given an option for remixing for those who want to try that. I hope I get time to at least do something for this before the deadline.
 
If anybody is one windows and having problems with the H.265 format of the video, specifically in DaVinci.

Use handbrake to convert to an H.264 format, and voila.

Maybe I'm the only one having the issue, but if not hope this helps!
 
Ok, I managed to get some time for one attempt.
I chose the Remix one as I've never really done this exercise. I went for an orchestral remix with a lot of place for woodwinds (as usual...). Don't know if I went to far away from the original in the middle section but I had fun !

That was insanely enjoyable, I had it on whils't doing a couple other things on my computer and completely forgot it was a submission! Great job.
