I've stumbled upon this new contest announcement at Sonuscore Insta feed. I found this contest quite interesting and creative, so I decided to share it here, maybe some people will be interested to participate too.

Over at Airwiggles - the social platform for audio people, and an exclusive partner of A Sound Effect - the team is running their first-ever music composition contest! Create some new music for one of our selected animated artworks and you could win some awesome audio prizes from Kilohearts, Sonuscore, and Rogue Waves.

- Compose 1 minute of music for one of 3 animated pixel-art landscapes scenes
- Deadline: February 25th
- 3 winners will be selected - one for each scene

More details about the rules here and on the Airwiggles channel.

@DavidW, yay, that's awesome, that you decided to participate! 😎 I'm curious what you'll come up with!
I still haven't decided which scene I'll choose:D This weekend is very busy for me, I'll start working on it from Monday.

@swinkler, wow, you are already done with your entry? Cool!
I won't listen to it until I complete mine, then I'll leave my feedback=)

Thanks for sharing @Gedren

Lovely submissions here as well! I've been vibing to submission for I think the past 30 minutes or so... every time it baffles me how the vibes are so different between each and everyone despite having the same material.
Myself I chose the ''sea'' I tried my best to portray a sense of relaxing vibes mixed with nostalgia. Lemme know what you people think :)

This is perfect. I wanted to do this one but was stuck thinking about different sort of sea references (Debussy, R.V. Williams, Saint-Saens, etc) and this needed something more modern for sure. This fits perfectly imo. Nice job.

One more. I had an idea for the smoke background. It looks like a dystopian landscape as if a terrible war had just happened. So I drew some inspiration from Stranvinsky and came up with this:

Nice one Steve, I think you nailed the vibe, and this is a great little piece! I like your harmonies, very evocative of a dystopian landscape.

This is my entry for 'Sea', I call it Handpan Tranquility. I was going for a relaxed Caribbean sound. Not sure if I achieved it?
