Graphorn Ride (Hogwarts Legacy) Plagiarism?

Hi everyone,

I've been listening to the soundtrack of Hogwarts Legacy and stubble upon the Graphorn Ride and it sounds so close to Test Drive from HTTYD...



Would you call that plagiarism or just influence? To me it goes beyond influence since it's so so close, but maybe you have other opinion?

I was just talking to a friend about this a few days ago lol!

It's crazy how similar it is that I wouldn't call that "inspired" anymore, it's straight up Test Drive 2.0. I suppose it was temp love in this case, that the composers have no choice.
 
Not Plagiarism, just very obvious temp.
But holy moly, that's a bad mockup and composition.

Of course. Structure is actually somewhat different (worse), and orchestration too (worse), doesn't have bagpipes for example.
I guess the ostinato could count as plagiarism if you go to court, although it is slightly altered.

I'd call it a very poor rip-off 🤷‍♂️
