Hi,

would you know some good books on john williams ? I would like to know more about his life, his vision (the book can includes interviews for example), his way of working, and various things around him?

I've searched before on this forum but didn't find anything.

Thanks a lot.

The link doesn't work for me unfortunately, it leads to the amazon home page
Hmm, works for me. The author is Chloé Huvet and the title is: Composer pour l'image à l'ère numérique: Star Wars, d'une trilogie à l'autre

If you're interested in learning more about the life and work of the legendary composer John Williams, I recommend checking out the book "John Williams: Life in Music" by Karol Berger. It delves into his life, career, and creative process, offering valuable insights and interviews.
Additionally, if you ever decide to explore something different from music, you can visit https://bookwormera.com/bridgerton-books-bridgerton-books-in-order/. They have a delightful series filled with historical romance and intrigue, providing a pleasant escape from the world of music.

Link please! Google is no help.

The Film Music of John Williams was only ok. I found most of the musical analysis to be more 'labelling' than actual analysis. Not quite at the level of saying, "And then there's a chord, and then another chord, then a louder chord..." but not much better.
