What's new

SynthV Oscar Voicebank release date: Crowdfunded on December 28; Public on January 10

Any good demos that show him in a special light? The ones I heard suggested the usual story (young male, middle register tenor)
Well, yes, I think your characterization hits the mark. Still, he seems to be pretty versatile, judging from the demo for his vocal modes. Not sure about his English, however.

Why its written "cover by voice provider" on both of these? Is it just him singing it for demonstration purposes, to promote the crowdfunding? I did hear the modes demo though...

Yes, I think it's Myles himself singing those demos. There still isn't a lot available of his voicebank yet, I'm wondering why...🤔

Some people got to betatest Oscar and released a lot of samples in various languages :)

What I do like about Oscar is that he seems to have a pretty wide dynamic range. Strangely, so far, no one really showcased the expressiveness he might be capable of -- although this could be something that would set him apart from the other more or less similar sounding voicebanks.
To my regret (this being just my own personal impression) I feel his voice is rather "neutral". Maybe that's a good thing, but I, for one, keep hoping for a male voicebank with a more unique personality. Something more lively. Such as Ritchy, but without the accent.
Oh well, never satisfied, that's me... 🥴

Yes I got it already, unfortunately a bit dissapointed that his master volume is very soft :( and also the voice modes are almost all similar except for the "who" modes .. but I like his vocal timbre.
