Listen to the passage at 3.00. That was mindboggling. First time I've heard a growl. I'm sure the pitch curve is taken from the original acapella but the parameter tuning is manual.

Hmm, we're not big enough a market, it seems, to warrant more consideration on their part. I guess they're aware of where their money comes in from...How to avoid commercial success in just 2 chapters
Accent or no, that's a truly great voicebank! What a pity that these restriction rules are so complicated. I have the feeling it's almost impossible to not violate them... So I better not risk buying.Yeah, Rose is great if you want a really shouty vocal, but there are indeed a lot of limitations if you want to make and sell original songs, since the voice is sampled from a Japanese singer and voice actress, and Japan has really strict rules when it comes to this.
This is a quick test I made using SynthV's audio to midi function, I made this in pretty much 5 minutes so I didn't edit stuff other than put proper lyrics in.
Since she's a Japanese vocal she does have an accent, so keep that in mind if you're interested in this voice.

I agree. This voice bank has a lot to offer. I'd buy it because I think I could squeeze a lot out of it, except those rules for commercial use are senselessly restrictive. They're pretty much ostracizing the professional end of the spectrum and relegating this voice bank to hobbyists and tinkerers.Accent or no, that's a truly great voicebank! What a pity that these restriction rules are so complicated.
Was just about to buy this VB when I read these .. oh myIf for commercial purposes, only the following uses are permitted. If using for commercial purposes, please be sure to contact Bushiroad Music before using.

What hoops did you need to jump through to get your hands on this? I bought her voicebank on DLSite! What hoops did you need to jump through to get your hands on this? I would very much like to do the same.

It's a Japanese website that also deals with a lot of... risque fanworks, so don't stray too far from the vocal synth section, but they usually have a lot of coupons ready (new users get a 30% off coupon if they use the "DLsiteWelcome30" code while signing up), and since they use Yen as the main currency you can take advantage of the weak Yen to save a few bucks.
Keep in mind that they don't support PayPal directly, you can only buy points with PayPal, but if you have a prepaid card you can use that to buy products directly with no issues, it's what I usually do.
As with all sound, amazing is relative to what’s been heard berfore, which was mostly gibberish with a hint of vocal clarity in moments. Actually understanding full sentences was unheard of 3 years ago. In that light most Japanese voices sounded Anime and squeaky. These are def getting closer, my question is how much work is it if you don’t have an Areosmith song to pull from. Coming up with style and inflections could be a lot of work beyond lyrics. But singing myself with my bad voice (soundwise, I can hit the notes and give them style) then replacing that with Rose or something else would be cool.Maybe it's just me, but I don't hear anything particularity "amazing" about Rose. Of course if you sample the pitch curves of Celine Dion, any Synth V voice can sound pretty good, but her actual tone and vocal style is nothing special to my ears. Add the restricted usage for non-Japanese users and this one is a definite no. Not a great English accent either. But I like that new voices keep coming out, and look forward to more in the future.
Commercial use covers a wide variety of applications. Last month I released an EP of 1980s pop covers. It features all human vocalists, but I used SynthV for some light, airy background vocals on one of the songs. Per the voicebank EULAs, I simply left the BGVs uncredited. Now imagine how unprofessional and cluttered my EP would look if I had to add "CeVIO AI Yume no Kessho ROSE" as a credit in addition to the featured vocalists.I just don’t get all of this reluctance to buy an AI voice, because “there may be some restriction on commercial use“
It unnecessarily complicates life. It's something that you have to keep track of, and remember. Since there are lots of voicebanks that are way less restrictive, why deal with the hassle of this one just because it can do aggressive?I just don’t get all of this reluctance to buy an AI voice, because “there may be some restriction on commercial use“……..In the very unlikely event that I was fortunate enough to write a song that was good enough to actually make any money from, then I would just pay a human vocalist to re-do the singing - you can get a perfectly good vocalist on Fiverr for less than 50 quid - probably even less than that !!
I'd release stuff using Synth-V. I'd also do media work with it (short films in my case). Some of us don't have the budget for re-recording with an orchestra. These AI voices can (and in my view, should) be used to make “demo” tracks to see whether the song is any good - in exactly the same way that many composers use virtual instruments before re-recording with an orchestra.
