Zebra 3 Alpha Features

Those editors and wav importers look amazing. And most importantly the brief audio demos sounded like this will open up a whole new era of wave morphing. Will be interesting to see what the sound designers can come up with.

It definitely looks awesome but it’s so far above my head that I probably wouldn’t ever make use of it, I’m sure there will be some awesome presets though!!

Ohhh that's a really nice wavetable editor. Good stuff. Having that freedom translate to other modules is a great feature. I can see this becoming a rather powerful synth. Visual feedback seems quite promising too. Now I'd only like to see visual feedback on modulation assignment values and the three weakest parts of Zebra 2 would all be gone. I'd pay full price of entry for that.

The grid based editor should be both intuitive and quick to use. People seem to be able to use it after a minute or two.

The "deep" editor is pretty much as complex or simple Zebra's current editors with the default tool. So as long as you stick to the default tool ("Arrow tool"), there's not really much to it.

(I did forget to mention the help tool, didn't I? - It pops up a help text that explains exactly what you can do with the mouse while hovering the editor...)
You also forgot to mention estimated release date. This year right? :whistling:

I'm pretty sure Nick asked me about it. Our conservative estimate is Zebralette 3 this year, as beta if worse comes to worse. Zebra3 then as soon as it gets thereafter. Whatever that means, we don't really know ourselves yet.
Will there be an undo function that works in the editor? That's one of the things that can be a little frustrating with the current Zebra2 editors.

What do you mean? All Zebra 2 Editors (OSC, MMAP, MSEG ect) have undo.
Sorry I should have been more specific. It seems like the undo works in bigger time chunks than I would like when using Ctrl-Z. Making a small adjustment will sometimes not "count" and you'll have to write over it to get what you want. A dedicated undo button in the editor would be nice (but maybe it's not necessary if the chunks get smaller?).

Playing around with it now to be sure I'm not crazy lol. Feel like I'm always running into a problem with it so it may be a little more specific to me than I originally thought.
