Today I found out that for some of my ScoreClub scores (brass), NotePerformer out performs VSL Brass.
I spent time in Dorico adding expressions and articulation to a VSL version of a brass piece and it just didnt cut it.
Then I tried NP3 and with no help from me it sounded WAY better (Must be the AI).
BUT, VSL strings still sound WAY better than NP3. Otherwise I might feel like shooting myself for buying all the VSL libraries.

So is that NP with the Walander Brass? Is it possible to do a comparison?

Honestly, Wallander Brass has always sounded more realistic to my ears than VSL. It may need a bit more massaging here and there, but mostly intuitively. Ironically, the only exception applies to Dimension Brass and Jazz style arrangements - that’s where VDB shines. But anything else, it’s Wallander, definitely.
