Audio Editor Suggestion for Tracking, Editing and Exporting Samples

I'm building my first sample library and was wondering what's the best DAW or Audio Editor to use to track, edit and export out my samples before bringing them into the Sample player.

I'm looking for something that can help make the tedious process of editing and exporting samples a bit more efficient. For example a tab to transient, then splice feature. And also batch exporting options. I currently use Studio One. But I also have other DAWs and Audio Editors (Reaper, Logic, Cubase, RX, SpectraLayers, and Adobe Audition). I think I heard Reaper a Detect Transient and Splice option and also Batch Exporting, so maybe that's that best tool for the job?

Would like to get feedback from others on this process, just in case I make a better decision on the tool to start the recording process.

Thanks in advance for any help and info :)

I use WaveLab for multisamples. For the real batch stuff I think Reaper is the way to go. Although I don't use that myself.

Reaper or Ardour. I use the latter these days. Both of these are scriptable so you can create custom tooling for batch proceeding samples. And other people have already made lots of scripts for this purpose.

Are these python scripts for Reaper?

I have been using SoundForge for some 20 years and I still prefer it for precise/sample-accurate editing. I never felt the need for another program and have a lot of keyboard shortcuts in "motor memory". Its batch editor is acceptable for basic things.

With the current owner (Magix) it has unfortunately become an advertizing billboard when I restart my PC.

Sound Forge Pro (not Audio Studio). You can write scripts in C# to automate it.

But be aware, there are compatibility problems with VST plugins because they changed the VST engine in version 16. It's currently not really solved. I'm still using version 15.

For example a tab to transient, then splice feature. And also batch exporting options.
In Sound Forge Pro open Tools > Auto Region. Make your settings for transient detection. You can then export the recognized regions to individual files via Tools > Extract Regions. There is a free 30 days trial version.

Uninstall the Update Notifier from Windows Apps and Features or disable it in the Windows Autostart. Then the messages should be gone.

You'll always be asked during the installation if you want to install additional software. If you agree it will be reinstalled. If you don't agree it won't come back.
