UVI and Apple silicon?

Hi everyone

Anybody else having problems with UVI VIs on Apple silicon? Both Acoustic Samples’ VTines+their modeled Wurlie, and UVI’s own Soul Drums do not run smoothly for me. They want to crash logic sometimes. Also some intermittent trouble with UVI’s delay plug (sorry, can’t remember the name -“X DELAY“?). Would be good to know if it’s just me. TIA

EDIT: btw what makes this extra strange is that vTines on iOS runs like a dream.

I don’t have any of those you mentioned, but I have Falcon, a couple of Quadras, and the V Collection and I’m not having any issues on my M1. I’m using Logic.

Thanks Kottke. Seems to be individual VIs that have the problem. I have lots of other UVI VIs and they all work ok. One thing that occurred to me is that perhaps the VIs that aren’t working are buffer sensitive on the M1 (like Unify also is). With the new M1 Mac, I can generally run a v small buffer while I track (64 samples) with no problems. I will try to double and triple. I love that low buffer though, especially on modeled instruments, like VTines. I will report back in case anyone can use the info.

Just in case anyone cares: it seems to be a Logic issue. The UVI plugs all work fine in Reaper. Unify is the same in this sense - LPX doesn’t like it, but it’s fine on Reaper.

All the more motivation to make the change
