Favorite Falcon expansions?

Each one has either a showcase track and/or a preset showcase video that kind of shows what they are. It's currently 2 for 1 so for an extra $20 you should be able to grab 6 with the $100 voucher they sent you. I basically steered away from the ones that are well covered by any other synths I owned which seemed to be a sensible strategy.

Yep, that's what I had done. I picked Organic Arps+Keys+Pads, Voklm, Fluidity and Plurality. Would still be nice to hear a verdict and favorite lists from other users.
 
Sounds like you and I are on the same track. I went with

Was thinking of Organic Pads and Atmospheres during the 2-for-1.

Are you able to use your voucher for this? When I tried it took the 2 for 1 offer out of the basket!
 
You can check in other threads, but I'm pretty sure those don't stack. UVI is good about some nice sales and vouchers, and they're also very good about making sure they're not stacked or otherwise gamed in any way. Good on them for having a solid system.

I am still too new to F3 to have specific favorites yet: Seems like I can just randomly click on something and start to generate ideas

They stacked for me. I paid for 3, got 6. I used my voucher and then paid for the small amount that exceeded the $100 voucher.

Thanks for posting that. You also just alerted me to the fact you have to use the whole voucher and can't use just some of it. I just wanted to buy a couple of expansions as I'm saving my voucher for soul drums during Black Friday. I'll probably just purchase an expansion without using the voucher for now.:2thumbs:

I wish I had thought to do that. I used mine for 2 (+ 2 free) and did not realize that it was one use and done. I would have happily ponied up the $17 for 2 extra expansions! Durrr.
 
Well, I have been looking to add synths into my compositions and, after reading threads here on VIC, watching countless YT videos, and checking out all the BF deals, I decided in Falcon 3 -- with my purchase I received a $100 voucher (naturally, the expansions are $27 each so will have to kick in $8 to get 4 expansions)

Now, which expansions to get - time for a deep dive into listening to the trailers of each one

I'd seriously recommend leaving the expansions for what they are and spending $100 voucher on something else.

The expansions are a nice addition, but I found after having a Sonicpass subscription for over a year, that I'm not using the expansions at all. I did some demos to showcase some and use one piano patch from LoFi Dreams from time to time, but that's it. I get a lot more out of Falcon on its own, Vintage Vault, the Quadras, Percussion Factory, Synthology, Drum Designer, the different key instruments and the effects stuff like Whoosh etc. I'd check some YouTube vids and spend your money there if I were you.

I agree with Fleer & Marcus. Plenty of excellent presets included in the factory library + SA4 is great. I have most of the expansion but never use them.
 
I "needed" to get an expansion to maximise the ROI from my Falcon voucher by tipping the BF discount to 50% by getting 3 products.
I settled on LoFi Dreams, as it brings 4GB of content to the table, which seemed to offer more value to me than all the others, most of which don't exceed 500MB. If any of the others had offered a style that I felt inclined to reverse engineer, that wasn't covered by the factory library, I might have thought differently.
I should point out that I've only had Falcon for 3 weeks, and I don't have any other expansions to compare it to, but if you're the type of person looking for content to build from, rather than presets to tweak, then its worth noting that LoFi Dreams has at least 5 times the content of any other expansion, and about 10 times the average.
