How do I create a soft / smooth bass in Vital? (for EDM if that helps in any way)

I've searched every corner of YouTube but all I find is the 808 bass, Reese or the Sub bass which are all quite harsh.
I need a bit of punch but a soft tone at the same time (I'd presume sinewaves are needed but I'm not really sure how to layer them up, what types of attack and release to use and such). Any tutorials or tips on how to create one?

Many thanks in advance!

Do you have an example?
These two:
(now that I listen to them again it sounds like an electric bass library but that's definitely not the standard practice in EDM)

These sound simply like heavily low passed saw of square waves. Maybe use unison or multiple oscillators. The trick is really to use a filter with a very steep curve. I don't remember what filters Vital has but you can use two filters in series to accentuate the curve even further.

You could also add a very light saturation or filter drive to make it a bit less smooth.

Mastering/mixing plays a big role to get the full effect you're looking for. Getting the kick and bass to play well together is tricky.

I can't thank you enough, that was very effective. I stacked 3 oscillators together, 2 quad saws and a square wave and then put a LPF on them, short attack and short-ish release and it's done. Thank you so much, honestly. You saved the day, sort of.
Going to play around with the saturation distortion as well, will take note of that.

I'll keep in mind that the mix and master will help shape the sound yeah, as the moment it's just a small sound really, it will need to feel larger I imagine for the track to sound good.
