Hi, I'm writing some music at the moment where I'd like a deep bass drum to keep a consistent pulse going but I'm having issues with getting the right sound.
I need it to be punchy & bassy without overpowering the other instruments or peaking the audio. The most similar drum sound I am aiming for is in the below piece - Starting @ 5:11.
I'm happy to take recommendations for samples/libraries, or simply ways to EQ it to achieve a similar sound (I have plenty of orchestral percussion VSTs & Libraries already).
