How to recreate this Synclavier 2 sound?

Specifically this:

at the time linked. (should be about 18 and a half mins in, the link is janky)

I have the Synclavier V for arturia and I'm absolutely stumped how to recreate the white noise whoosh effect. I cannot find a preset for this anywhere, including facebook. There are a number of downloadable preset packs including factory presets. But neither they or the product's own preset folder contains this sound.

Can anyone help? Thanks

AH, uh, I remember the OSC track I did with the free Synclavier II clone "Syncla-X". It wasn't really a particularly good vst, but the developer was a rather young French guy, I think, which impressed me back then.

This was a pure Syncla-X track and I had a whole bunch of "wooshes" in there I made. All presets were from scratch.

Not sure how well this would translate to the real thing or Arturia's clone of it, but I could have another look at this synth and play around with it again. Was fun for sure!

That's a preset. It's a TAM TAM sound a like. It's got a bit of EQ on it to bring
g out the highs

Tangerine Dream ( lazy buggers using presets!!) used it here:

"Bell's Inferno" is pretty close although "Phased Gong" sounds like the preset .

To be clear. I am asking for the sound I linked. It is the very first sound you hear on Kiew Mission, as well, which has been linked. It is not the phased gong/beat it sound, which is also used on that track, later on.

Dude, have you listened to Ed‘s Tangerine Dream YouTube link? That is the same sound you linked to. Tam tam sample. Don’t know if Arturia has got it, but they should when it’s a preset.

If they have I've ot found it. THeir sample folder doesn't include a tam tam

It might NOT be a synclavier . If it wasn't for that you tube video of their sounds I'd say it wasn't. But it's there too so.....I seem to remember Christoph telling me the Synclavier on EXIT was borrowed. They got a bigger system for thief. At the time of EXIT (1981) Sampling was pretty limited on the synclavier . I went to a demo in NYC to hear the first 16bit in 82. And that was mono.

But let's say it is the Synclavier then it's an FM generated sound. I wrote to one of the NED peeps and I'll let you know what he says

Thanks I would be very interested in what they say.

Interesting. Thanks for trying.

It may well be that the people producing that disk treated the sounds with external processing. I had assumed not given that it's meant to demo the synth not other stuff.

Who knows
